If you haven't added funds to your paypal account OR recieved money from someone then nothing will show in your paypal balance !!! As a buyer you never need funds in your paypal account balance as paypal take directly from any linked funding source ie a card or bank account. Hello, I am new on Paypal after creating an account I confirmed my email, phone and add successfully my bank and also confirm that but in my PayPal account balance option is not showing anywhere where I see my current balance?

Normally when you pay they credit the seller the funds for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer, this is so their is no delay in despatching your item.

1. You are paying from your bank account BUT have a back up card linked to your paypal account as well.

Otherwise if you are using 1 without a card it may go as an echeque and you take the wait for the funds to transfer.

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your prefered way to pay and put a dot in one of the options listed.

Hi,  this issue is not limited to new members, and does not only apply to customers who don't have a balance.  I had received approximately $380 from friends into my paypal account prior to Paypal's March 29 initiation of their "Cash and Cash Plus" accounts.  This cash seems to have disappeared. I hadn't transferred those funds to my bank yet, but I did not have any Balance noted on my login screen where I clearly should have had a balance.  I thought if I took the extra step to create a PayPal "Cash Account" that the balance would show up, but it DID NOT.  If you received payments from friends/family or commercially and you don't see those funds reflected in your balance, then I would check all your transactions against your bank and purchase records to see where it went.  I had assumed that the balance might have been applied against paypal purchases of mine, but that does not seem to be the case.  I'll update my status if it looks like PayPal did somehow apply my balance to other transactions, but I am guessing I will need to get PayPal to basically give this back to me.  There's always a chance I'm overlooking something, but I don't think so at this point.  If you received funds that you hadn't transferred prior to the Paypal Cash Account, I would check to see if you have that reflected in your balance.

So I finally printed out all my paypal transactions for 12 months and reconciled it against my checking account where my purchases are paid from, and it Paypal did automatically apply the amounts I received from friends/family against the next purchases I made after receiving a payment.  Since I make lots of small purchases, it wasn't easy or obvious to see, and basically they simply withdrew less money from my checking than they would have otherwise made in order to cover a purchase I made.  This was a relief, and it's too bad it didn't reflect in my Paypal running transaction history.  Would have saved a lot of time.

I have the samo problem but I received refund from ebay to my paypal account, I can see in history that the money was added to my paypal account but when I try to withdraw it, it says: " There's nothing to withdraw right now. try again when you have a PayPal balance". Any help on how am I supposed to get my money?

If you funded the original Paypal payment to the seller with a card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your card. Paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine, however that depends a lot on what country you are in.

 @kernowlass Somebody sent me a payment via my email and I'm seeing "Accept the money" but when I select it I only have to option to transfer it to my bank or "keep it in PayPal" where I have to enter a ton of personal info (I do not want to do this). I used to be able to receive money sent to me and spend it immediately, I can no longer do this and I have no idea what I'm going to do.

As per the emerging reports, PayPal is not reflecting the transferred amount or balance in the app wallet even after hours of making the transaction.

Affected lot is reaching out to the support in perplexity. After all, we are talking about money disappearing from the wallet.

In the absence of conclusive evidence, it is hard to predict what all countries are experiencing this issue but one thing’s certain, it is a widespread issue.

The issue has its roots back in the app’s backend part which fails to reflect the received amount and needs the PayPal team’s intervention.

But don’t worry, it is probably a technical glitch that won’t let you see the balance, developers have their eyes on it already.

The Twitter support of PayPal assures that the issue of money not being reflected in the accounts is being looked into and a fix will soon see the sunlight.

The support is also asking users to send them a DM with the email address associated with the account and the country. So, you guys already know how to slide in their DMs.

This started yesterday, Friday the 25th, hasn't been fixed yet. Odd query - despite having money in my account, my balance is not showing at all. It's not showing 0.00 but there is just a blank space where the balance should be.

I'll try it. Classic Site. Talked to PayPal, they sais my balance is fine, they have sent problem to whoever handles it.

That would be a true statement, if you don't actually have the money - you don't have it, thus there's nothing to transfer.

This is a member to member help group, we are "not" customer support meaning we can't look at your account setup nor the sender's account details.  We don't know if your account is verified or the sender's account is verified. 

In a perfect scenario, both sender and receiver accounts are "verified", are established and in good standing.  Assuming the sender uses funds from their PayPal Account Balance or Credit Card, you would receive the money almost right away.  If the sender uses funds from their Bank Account, it could take up to 4 days for you to receive the funds.

Your PayPal balance will show if there is a balance. Just because you have linked bank accounts, it doesn't show what you have in your bank's balance. It doesn't work that way; if I understood your topic correctly. PayPal will only show a balance if someone sent you money into your PayPal account and you kept the balance/funds there. For some reason when I log into my paypal account I cant see my balance. Like I cant see anything my banks are still there its just Paypal balance doesn't exist and when I try to see it it doesnt show up, not even under payment methods or ways to pay online. Its like it up and disappeared. Can someone help?

The option to 'receive' paypal payments is sadly not available in Nigeria.You can only 'send' payments for purchases.Paypal varies a lot country to country and can only offer the services that the banks / governments of that country allow it to offer.There are quite a few countries unable to receive paypal payments.https://www.paypal.com/ga/webapps/mpp/ua/residence-full

I don't know about the original poster, but I can't find my balance either! It's not that the balance is zero, there isn't even a place on the page where a balance would appear. Now I know that the current balance IS zero, but that should be shown somewhere! A message from PayPal in response to my query said that some browsers were not showing the balance, and they were trying to fix it - so I know it's not me. Also, the "transfer" button has ceased to exist. I hope that when money credits to my account these things reappear, but I'm not holding my breathe . . . BTW, I have tried Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari, and none work to show the balance.

No, I definitely have a balance, just got two payment, but no where on any page is an indication of how much money is in there. REALLY bad flaw in a financial program.

If you want to get advice you need to say what country you are in and type of paypal account.
